Impact Statement

 

2016: The Foundation was active in 2016 supporting churches and community service agencies in the Los Angeles area to provide educational supplies.

Greater Zion Church in Compton, CA on 8/14/16: Donation of 165 backpacks filled with school supplies as well as a laptop computer to a high school graduate attending her 1st year in college.

The Empowerment Center in Lynwood, CA on 8/26/16: Donation of 50 backpacks stocked with school supplies.

Donation totals for 2016: 215 backpacks, 1000 pencils, 600 black pens, 600 blue pens, 500 erasers, 300 pencil sharpeners, 50 12-count crayons, 50 folders and notebooks, 10 calculators, 10 rulers, and 1 laptop computer.

2017: During the year, the Foundation supported churches and community service agencies in various U.S. cities to provide supplies.

Korey Johnson Foundation in St. Louis, MO on 7/30/17 – 150 pencils, 150 black pens, 150 blue pens, 75 erasers, 75 sharpeners, and 10 24-count crayons.

The Friendship Church in Los Angeles, CA on 8/5/17 – 40 backpacks, 300 pencils, 250 erasers, 200 black pens, 200 blue pens, 100 red pens, 150 pencil sharpeners, and 25 highlighters.

Greater Zion Church in Compton, CA on 8/20/17 – Donation of 163 backpacks stocked with school supplies as well as a laptop computer to a high school graduate entering his 1st year in college.

Hurricane Harvey relief supplies donation, September 2017

  • Donation of 1 gallon hand sanitizer, 24 canisters of sanitizing wipes, 6 cases of 48-count water, 2 packs of 15-count paper towels, 2 packs of 30-count toilet paper, 5 boxes of 1000-count baby wipes, trash bags, plastic bags, 5 dog leashes, personal care products (shampoo, conditioner, hair moisturizer, lotion, deodorant, mouthwash, toothpaste), 12 bars of soap, clothing/shoes, first air medical supplies, baby formula, 6 bottles of pedialyte, 6 dog leashes.
  • Donation of school supplies to Young Women’s’ College Preparatory Academy in Houston, TX: 302 pencils, 200 blue pens, 150 black pencils, 100 pencil sharpeners, 50 red pens, 50 highlighters, 50 erasers, 50 folders, 8 8-count crayons, 7 backpacks, 6 pencil bags, 6 staplers, and 3 rulers.
  • Monetary donation to American Red Cross.

Hurricane Irma school supplies donation, September 2017

  • Donation to Chimney Lakes Elementary School in Jacksonville, FL: 500 pencils, 350 pencil sharpeners, 350 cap erasers, 150 black pens, 150 blue pens, 100 erasers, 75 highlighters, 50 red pens, 48 glue sticks and 3 bottles of glue, 30 pencil pillows, 17 24-count crayons, and 10 12-count colored pencils.
  • Monetary donation to Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Disaster Fund.

School supplies donation totals for 2017: 210 backpacks, 1202 pencils, 700 blue pens, 675 pencil sharpeners, 650 black pens, 475 erasers, 350 cap erasers, 200 red pens, 150 highlighters, 50 folders, 48 glue sticks and 3 bottles of glue, 30 pencil pillows, 27 24-count crayons, 10 12-count colored pencils, 8 8-count crayons, 6 pencil bags, 6 staplers, 3 rulers and 1 laptop computer.
